Martin obtained his B.Com degree at Wits University in 2002 and an Honours degree at the University of Natal in 2003. He began his career at KPMG in 2004 where he gained valuable audit experience as a trainee auditor, in 2006 September he was promoted to audit supervisor where he was responsible for managing and supervising audit assignments. He was registered with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as CA in May 2007 and in March 2009 he was admitted to the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) as an auditor. In May 2007 he joined the KPMG Corporate Finance division where he obtained experience in the following areas: Accounting based valuations; Mergers and Acquisitions; and Fund raising. Martin left KPMG in December 2008 to join the University of South Africa (UNISA) as senior lecturer at where he lectured Auditing to the B.Com Honours class. Whilst at UNISA, Martin founded Malamba Enterprise Development Services, which in 2011 was converted to Harvest Chartered Accountants Inc. In July 2012 Martin attended and completed Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Management Development Programme (MDP) offered by Wits University. Martin has extensive experience in: • Corporate Finance, Financial modelling; Accounting and Financial reporting; Corporate Governance; Tax advisory; Auditing and BEE verifications. In December 2013 Martin was appointed by the Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA), a State Owned Entity as an independent finance expert to serve on USAASA’s Audit & Risk committee and the Business Development committee.
HR and Operations Manager
Adele is Bcomm Law/HR Graduate who has been our HR & Operations manager for five years. She has a strong background and knowledge in recruitment and selection; and policy formulation and review. With her law qualification she has experience in partnering with and providing first-line labour law support to line managers and directors, as well HR Support to staff members. Adele started her career in the IT industry as an ERP Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics accounting software called Great Plains. In her time as and ERP Consultant she has worked for large IT concerns such as Datacentrix and PraXis Computing. She left the IT industry to start her own recruitment agency where she focused on the IT and Financial Industry. Some of her clients included KPMG na The South African Post Office. She is currently enrolled for her Bcomm Honours in Strategic HR Management.
IT Services Manager
Mario has 8 year experience in the Information Technology Industry and 3 years in retail Management.
In 2001 he started his career in the Retail Industry and by 2004 he was promoted to Manager of the retail store. By the year 2007 he was given the opportunity to work in the fast yet growing industry of IT being subcontractor to an international construction company where he managed and supported the internal IT infrastructure. Before joining Harvest Office Technologies Mario gained extensive experience in:
- Web designing,
- PHP and MYSQL,
- POS ( Point of Sale),
- Microsoft Application ( Server, Exchange, Windows OS),
- Networking ( LAN,WAN,WLAN,VPN) ,
- Repairing of printers, laptops and desktops
Henny obtained an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology-Programming and National Certificate in System Development at Jeppe College in 2010. He is a Certified Java Programmer-Standard Edition 5.0 (SCJP) by Sun Microsystems.
